EDUCA Flagship at FERA Conference
Postdoc Sanni Pöysä was awarded an Active Peer Reviewer prize
Every two years, Kasvatus magazine awards a prize to an active peer reviewer for the magazine at the FERA Conference. With this recognition, the magazine wants to emphasize the importance of peer review: it is an essential but invisible part of the scientific publication process.
The citeria for the award is that the researcher responds positively to requests for evaluation and provides particularly careful and constructive feedback that improves the manuscript.
Postdoctoral researcher Sanni Pöysä from the University of Jyväskylä, who is currently on parental leave, tells that she is sincerely touched by the award. When conducting peer reviews, her main goal is to support authors in refining their manuscripts to a level that she considers ready to publish.
- From the perspective of researchers, publication processes are often long and demanding. I believe that constructive peer feedback, which is both relevant and encouraging, promotes high-quality scientific publishing. I easily demand further attention in areas where I see a need for it. At the same time, however, I strive to be encouraging and also offer positive feedback.
Warm congratulations Sanni!
Thank you to all for a great conference and see you next year in Tampere!
